A Wish

A little prayer, before the wish,
When you set sail to catch fish,
Lucky you are to get enough fish,
To prepare a favourite dish,
Not far from the island, a fishing ground,
Covering four or five miles around,
When you are home-bound,
Hovering gulls and terns, still to be found.
The day's catch is over,
Return home and have a shower,
What a delicacy to have, for dinner,
Rest of the evening, for your pleasure.
