Blessing of the Light

Light has always fascinated human imagination,
It also gives curiosity,
By means of fire, one way or the other,
We find the way through light,
By burning oil or using electricity,
When the daylight comes from the rising sun,
The radiation that stimulates the sense of sight,
Making things visible for amusement and fun.
Shining stars brighten the sky, lively,
During the dark hours of the night,
While the earth is lit up artificially
To mark the occasions and to show the joy
Colourful lights play an important role,
Centuries old, customs all over the world,
So many events, return to the mind
When recalled.
