A Tragic Accident
Died 24 Passengers after capsizing ‘Enama',
On the high sea while travelling to Thinadhoo,
Most tragic incident in the travelling history.
Sympathy of Maldivians goes to the mourners,
Showing relationships between people in islands,
To collect the generous help opened depository.
Among the dead, mothers, fathers and babies,
Teenagers, sisters, brothers, men and women,
Sorrows of Thinadhu people, causing a flurry.
Sunken ship was travelling in the calm weather,
The ship capsized with a boatload of people,
Shouts of cry , rescue work began in a hurry.
As the incidence of Titanic, died a couple,
Engaged to get married, about nearer time,
Their names will be remembered in our memory.
While they were struggling to save their lives,
A fishing boat happened to be nearby the ship,
They pleaded for help, but rejected and got angry.
The fishing boat, sped off, losing behind a victim,
He, holding on to the boat, fell and lost forever,
An inhuman act, no word to describe in vocabulary.
